About This Trip
This 5-day trip is ideal for people who want to concentrate on the Kathmandu Valley while getting a close-up view of the Himalayas. Start your trip in Kathmandu and tour the UNESCO-listed Swayambhunath Stupa and Patan Dubar Square. Then, embark on a 3.5-hour hike from Namo Buddha to Dhulikhel and take in the breathtaking alpine scenery of the nation. Before returning to Kathmandu to visit the Boudhanath Stupa and historic Bhakapur city, take in a sunrise over the Himalayas at Nagarkot. On the final evening, enjoy a traditional Nepali dinner and dance!

Day 1: Arrival, Kathmandu
Welcome to Nepal! Upon arrival, you are greeted by our representative. Transferred to hotel where your tour guide helps you check in and brief you about the following tours. Relax and recover from jet lag at hotel.

Day 2: Kathmandu - Patan (Lalitpur) - Kathmandu
City tour starts with an exploration of Kathmandu Valley from Ason Tole Vegetable & Spice Market which offers a vivid local life of Nepali people. Continue your visit to Kathmandu Durbar Square where you will see Kumari Temple which houses the living Goddess and have an external view of Taleju Temple and Kala Bhairav. Afternoon, proceed to Patan city (about 15min driving) to visit the Panta Durbar Square - one of the three Durbar Squares in the Kathmandu Valley. Later at dusk visit Swayambhunath, a stupa on the top of hill, offering the panorama of Kathmandu city.
Optional: If weather is nice, you could take an optional flight trip to see Mt. Everest & Himalaya up-close in the morning, which takes about one hour and all seats are window guaranteed. 1-hour schedule Flight USD200 per person.

Day 3: Kathmandu - Namo Buddha - Dhulikhel - Nagarkot
In the morning, head east into Namo buddha, where you start a 3.5 hours walk to Dhulikhel for the exploration of the local temple and the surroundings. On a clear day you will get some lovely views of the Himalayan peaks in the distance. Upon arrival at Dhulikhel, be transferred by private A/C vehicle to Nagarkot (approx. 1.5 hours), then check in to your hotel and enjoy the sunset view over the Himalaya on a clear day.

Day 4: Nagarkot - Bhaktapur - Kathmandu
if weather permits, you could wake up in the early morning and enjoy the breathtaking Sunrise view of high snow-capped mountains at your hotel. Have a good rest before checking out from hotel at noon.
Afternoon you are escorted to Bhaktapur city where you will discover Bhaktapur Durbar Square, one of the seven UNESCO's World Heritage Sites of the Kathmandu Valley. Later continue to the oldest temple in the Kathmandu Valley, Changu Narayan Temple which boasts a beautiful view of the surrounding countryside. Drive back to Kathmandu and visit Pashupatinath, the most famous Hindu temple in the country. Followed by a visit to Boudhanath Stupa, one of the biggest Buddhist shrines in the world, where you can observe Buddhist monks in prayer in the monasteries surrounding the stupa.
In the evening, unwind with a cultural feast of Nepali traditional dinner and dancing.

Bid farewell to Kathmandu, our representative will escort you to the Tribhuwan International Airport for onward flight.
