About This Trip
For those who want to experience Nepal's cultural landmarks and take in the stunning mountain scenery, this 8-day itinerary is perfect. The tour begins in Kathmandu, where you may visit the UNESCO-listed Swayambhunath Stupa, as well as the durbar squares in Kathmandu, Patan, and Bhaktapur, which are packed with Hindu and Buddhist temples. You will next embark on a 3-hour hike from Telkot to Changu Narayan, Nepal's oldest temple. After that, enjoy the Trishuli River Rafting before continuing on to Pokhara, where you will engage in a leisurely morning hike to catch the sunrise over the Himalayan mountains at Sarangkot. Before taking a flight home, return to Kathmandu and explore the Thamel District.

Day 1: International Arrival in Kathmandu
Welcome to Nepal! Upon arrival, you are greeted by our representative. Transferred to the hotel where your tour guide helps you check in and briefs you about the following tours. Relax and recover from jet lag at the hotel.

Day 2: Kathmandu - Patan (Lalitpur) - Kathmandu
After breakfast, your full day sightseeing starts with a visit to Patan Durbar Square, which is one of the seven Monument Zones that make up the Kathmandu Valley UNESCO World Heritage Site. Continue to Boudhanath Stupa to admire the largest Buddhist Stupa in the world. Later, get close touch with Hindu culture in the Pashupatinath - one of the most sacred Hindu temples in the world. After that, you'll be escorted back to the hotel in Kathmandu.
Optional: If the weather is nice, it is highly recommended that take a scenic mountain flight at your own expense for the spectacular view of Himalayan mountains including Mount Everest with peaks soaring above the clouds.

Day 3: Kathmandu - Telkot - Bhaktapur - Kathmandu, Leisure Hiking
After breakfast, you'll first be transferred to Telkot (approx. 50 min) and go on an easy 3-hour hike to Changu Narayan, which can add variety to your time spent in the Kathmandu Valley. This trail offers superb views of villages and mountains and is filled with cultural experience as well. Changunarayan is the oldest temple of Nepal originally built in the 4th century and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site today.
After hiking, you'll be transferred back to Kathmandu. En route, stop over Bhaktapur city and experience pottery making.

Day 4: Kathmandu - Pokhara (about 5-6 hours), White Water River Rafting
After breakfast, you will be picked up and transferred to Pokhara.
When you arrive in Pokhara, have the rest of the day at leisure. Relaxing in the hotel or exploring around Pokhara Bazaar on your own is up to you.

Day 5: Pokhara, Leisure Hiking
Today is another leisure hiking day in Pokhara. After breakfast, drive to boat ride point and do the boating till hike starting point. Start your 2-hour hiking to Peace Pagoda - an impressive sight and its hilltop location offer a grand view. Finish the day by visiting Mahendra Cave, Bats Cave, and Seti Gorge to get close touch with the Seti River which is originated from the Machapuchhare glacier.

Day 6: Pokhara Sightseeing
Morning is free at leisure or enjoys the optional Paragliding/ Zip line/ Ultra Light flight/ Bunjee on your own. In the afternoon, you will enjoy a half day sightseeing in Pokhara including Devi's Fall - the most famous waterfall in Pokhara, Gupteswor Mahadev Cave - one of the longest caves in Nepal which can lead you a trip to underground Nepal. Finally, visit International Mountain Museum to know more about the trekking and Mountaineering history of Nepal.

Day 7: Pokhara - Kathmandu, Thamel & Garden of Dreams
Today, start a bit earlier for your journey to Sarangkot viewpoint to for the unforgettable sunrise over the mountain peaks. Rest at one of the cafes atop the mountain, relax and enjoy the unforgettable sunrise over the mountain peaks.
Later, fly back to Kathmandu, and afternoon take a leisure walk around Thamel district - a heaven for tourists visiting the city including its fascinating streets. Afterward, continue to pay a visit to Garden of Dreams, a neoclassical historical garden in a beautiful design inspired by the famous Edwardian style.
