On this day you will firstly visit the Temple of Heaven where you can also see the local people do morning exercises besides regular sightseeing. Then you will visit Tiananmen Square, the magnificent Forbidden City and Pearl Store. After the full day tour, you will be transferred to the airport for your evening flight to Delhi.Overnight: Delhi
Welcome to India! Our representative will greet you at airport and escort you to hotel. This morning is left for your rest after breakfast. Afternoon start with the Akshardham Temple which brilliantly showcases the essence of India’s ancient architecture, traditions and timeless spiritual messages. Also visit Dilli Haat, which provides the ambience of a traditional Rural Haat or village market, but are suitable for more contemporary needs. You will see a synthesis of crafts, food and cultural activity.
After breakfast head to Old Delhi for the magnificent Jama Masjid, India’s largest mosque; then a unique glance at local life by an exploration to the bustling local bazaar of Chandni Chowk on rickshaw. Pass by Red Fort before drive to New Delhi for the tallest stone tower in India, 800-year-old Qutub Minar surrounded by ancient Hindu and Muslim complex. Continue to Raj Ghat - the cremation sites of Mahatma Gandhi. Drive along the city landmark of India Gate, President's House, Parliament House & Government Secretariat Buildings. Finish today with an insight into the local religion at a colorful Hindu temple- Laxmi Narayan Temple.Overnight: Delhi
After breakfast, head to Jaipur, stopover for coffee break or photo opportunities are at your request any time en-route. On arrival check in at hotel, afternoon is free for your rest.

After breakfast, visit the hillside Amber Fort, the ancient capital of the state; inside experience the kingly palaces incl. the Sheesh Mahal (Palace of Mirrors).
Drive back to the ‘pink city’ of Jaipur and stop at facade of the famous Hawa Mahal (Palace of the Winds) and your tour guide shows you the best angle for a perfect picture. Continue to the City Palace Museum for its superb collection of Rajasthani costumes and armoury; do check the local time yourself at Jantar Mantar - the largest stone observatory in world that still in service today. Drive through the pink rose residential & business areas before you are escorted back to the hotel. In between the tour visit a textile shop to have a look at live textile making and carpet weaving art by Indian artisans.
Tips:Be careful for the hard sell from hawkers all along the way - it's strongly suggested to just ignore them completely if you have no interest to buy; don't talk to them, no 'no thanks' either.
After breakfast head east to Agra, en-route a brief exploration to the former royal city of Fatehpur Sikri (about 1.5 hrs), one of the finest examples of Mughal architectural splendor at its height, built by Emperor Akbar in 1569 and abandoned after 15 years due to scarcity of water. Lunch time after that and then proceed to Agra. Upon arrival, be met and transferred to the hotel for check-in.Overnight: Agra
Morning at leisure. After checking out start your visit to Taj Mahal. This white-marble world wonder was built by a great emperor in memory of his beloved. Later visit the palatial Royal Pavilions at the red sandstone Agra Fort for a glimpse of the royal Mughal lifestyle. Evening in time transfer to Tundla Railway Station to board overnight train to Varanasi.Overnight: On the train
Morning arrive in Varanasi and our representative will greet you at the railway station and take you to your hotel. Afternoon at leisure. This evening, witness the thousand-year-old Aarti Ceremony by the holy Ganges River during which worshippers pray near the water by the light of candles and lanterns.Overnight: Varanasi
Wake up earlier for a sunrise boat cruise on the Ganges River, vivid picture of devoted Hindus bathe in the river offering the prayers against morning sunlight make the journey quite rewarding. Return to the hotel for breakfast followed by a brief city tour to Banaras Hindu University, Golden Temple and Bharat Mata Temple which is dedicated to Mother India. Continue your adventure to Sarnath (The Deer Park) where the Buddha preached his first sermon and Sanarth Museum. In between the tour proceed to a silk shop / factory to have a look at finest silk items from Varanasi. Rest of the day at leisure.Overnight: Varanasi
Transfer to Varanasi airport for the flight back to Delhi. Arrive Delhi, transfer to city centre, you may take advantage of this time for last minute gift shopping before our representative escort you to international airport for return flight.

On-site restaurants may be average in size but offer breakfast, lunch and dinner. In most cases, staffs have basic command of English. Usually 3 star hotels are adopted.
Hotel Arrangement for Comfortable Tour Class
Normally you'll stay at formal and large hotels conveniently located with shopping, dining and entertainment facilities nearby. Quality service, fully furnished rooms, restaurants, room service, fitness center and swimming pool (in some cases there is no pool) all together offer an above-average accommodation experience.
Usually good 4-star hotels are adopted or boutique hotels at request. Hotels best available will be arranged if no qualified choice, e.g. in remote area.
Hotel Arrangement for Superior Tour Class
Usually properties are conveniently located with shopping, dining and entertainment facilities nearby and offer a better service and hotel facility than that in hotels of Comfortable Tour Class. Usually 4-4.5 star hotels or boutique hotels are adopted.
Hotel Arrangement for First Tour Class
Deluxe hotels with high-end service and an extensive range of facilities for an excellent accommodation experience. Multiple restaurants on site with extensive menus for choice, room service available 24/7, fitness center and concierge service round out the experience. Usually 5 star hotels are adopted.
Hotel Arrangement for Deluxe Tour Class
The most luxury hotels are used and only available in some particular cities. These properties have top-notch service and unique location, such as a lake or a historic site, and usually incorporate some of the country’s most exquisite architecture traditions. Usually top 5 star or the best available hotels are adopted.
Normally, India Odyssey Tours put breakfast in your itinerary except for in Bhutan (all meals included). Lunch won’t be included for the sake of tour convenience, while dinner is also excluded as some travelers might want a little culinary adventure themselves. But surely your tour guide/driver is always glad to offer their advice.
It is normally served at the hotel where you stay. Depending on the hotel, the breakfast would be in western style, local style, or a combination.
Usually lunch won’t be included considering the fact that sometimes travelers may want to stay somewhere longer/shorter or need other minor changes during daily sightseeing, and it’s better to decide the lunch site then rather than pre-arranging it. For sure our tour guides/drivers will be happy to advice good places to you, and we strongly suggest qualified local restaurant or hotels around the scenic spots for the sake of your health.
