About This Trip
10-day journey is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts, as it covers everything from national parks to tea plantations to forest reserve. Starting in the seaside town of Negombo and ending in the bustling Colombo, this tour will take you to the centrally located Nuwara Eliya first to explore the hilly tea plantations. Then you will travel to Yala and Udawalawa National Parks where you will have a fantastic opportunity to witness leopards and elephants in the wild. Finally, you will take a detour to Sinharaja, a Biosphere Reserve and World Heritage Site by UNESCO, and go on a walking trip in the jungle to explore the magnificent nature.

Day 1: International Arrival, Negombo
Welcome to Sri Lanka! Odynovo chauffeur guide greets and escorts you to the hotel for check-in. you are free to take advantage of the remaining of the day.

Day 2: Negombo - Nuwara Eliya (By Car, Approx. 2.5Hrs, 161 Km)
After breakfast, take a long drive to Nuwara Eliya, which is referred to as "little England" for its English style bungalows and buildings. Visit the lush Tea Country that produces famous black teas all over the world.

Day 3: Horton Plains National Park, Nuwara Eliya
In the early morning, head for Horton Plains National Park and walk to World's End before clouds becoming dense. This gentle and beautiful trail goes through a Scottish highlands-like landscape and loops back to the crashing Baker's Falls.

Day 4: Nuwara Eliya - Yala National Park (By Car, Approx. 3Hrs, 170 Km)
Breakfast at hotel. Drive down to Yala National Park where you will stay a few nights to maximise your chances of seeing the most wild animals. You will not get bored during the drive for there is plenty to see en route.

Day 5: Yala National Park Safari
From morning till late afternoon you will join exciting safaris inside the park to see spotted deer, wild boar and elephant in addition to bird watching. Chances are sloth bear and leopard just ramble around since Yala owns the most leopards in Asia.

Day 6: Yala National Park - Udawalawe (By Car, Approx. 1Hr, 55Km)
Start the day with a ride to Uda Walawe, in which you will visit the Elephant Transit Centre, an elephant sanctuary that rescues orphaned elephants and returns them to the wild when they are well prepared.

Day 7: Udawalawe National Park Game Drives
The itinerary for today consists of two game drives in the Udawalawe National Park, which offers a different experience from that in Yala: you will see various wild species (including the amazing ones), either from a certain range or just within a close distance in just a couple of hours!

Day 8: Udawalawe - Sinharaja Biosphere (By Car, Approx. 1.5Hrs, 78Km)
Transfer to and stay overnight at the Sinharaja Biosphere, a UNESCO World Heritage Site favored by nature lovers. You are free to spend the remaing time at leisure.

Day 9: Sinharaja - Colombo (By Car, Approx. 3Hrs, 210Km)
Amid the morning mist and fresh air, walk with a naturalist who assists in introducing exotic wildlife along the way. After lunch, proceed to Colombo and stay at a hotel close to the airport to better catch your flight the next day.
