Reviews about This Tour
This tour rating 5 out of 5 based on 10 reviews.
The hotels were very luxurious, and attractive. The best was the Amaya Lake Hotel, where we spent three days exploring the Cultural Triangle. I recommend this hotel for future visits to the area.
The driver/guide, Mr. Maduma, was a very kind and helpful person, and also a most skillful driver, which is essential in Sri Lanka! Mr. Maduma's car was modern and comfortable, a Prius. I would like him to be our driver/guide the next time we visit Sri Lanka.
The manager of the India Odyssey Travel office in Colombo called us at the hotel during our trip to check that everything was OK, which it was. This was a thoughtful gesture.
So we took India Odyssey Tours where Mavis Jiang arranged everything like we wanted it. The organisation was excellent and i was always able to reach Mavis to discuss new ideas.
Once on the island we were welcome by our driver and guide Amila. He was really good and could tell us a lot about the island and the culture. As we had nothing to worry about we really enjoy the landscapes and the trip.
As we are students we had to look on the money so we booked "only" three-star hotels but those were all good and A/C cooled, which is quite important on the island.
We saw a lot and learned even more. The organisation of the trip was excellent as was the local food on the island :)
The next short-trip to Asia will surely be done by India Odyssey Tours.
