About This Trip
On this 13-day honeymoon trip in Sri Lanka, you will explore culture, history, wildlife, and beaches. Start your tour in Negombo, a seaside town with colonial charm, and then transfer to the sacred city of Kandy to explore the holy Buddhist site - the Temple of Sacred Tooth! By train, travel through tea fields and mountains to reach Nuwara Eliya. Later you will reach Yala for a jeep safari in search of the animals like leopards. Continue on to Mirissa for an exciting whale-watching tour before unwinding in the historic port city of Galle and neighboring Bentota beach. A Colombo city highlights tour will cap up your tour.

Day 1: Arrival, Negombo
Welcome to Sri Lanka, the Pearl of the Indian Ocean! On arrival at Colombo Bandaranaike International Airport, you're met by your private chauffeur-guide and driven to your hotel in Negombo, a seaside town which is only 20 minutes away from the airport. Rest of the day is at your leisure.

Day 2: Negombo - Kandy
Enjoy your leisurely morning in Negombo, a historical commercial center surrounded by a fascinating network of canals teeming with rural life. If you are interested in, we recommend you to visit the Negombo Fish Market in the early morning, or take a boat trip of the aquatic life on Muthurajawela Marsh.
In the afternoon, head east to Kandy, the second-largest city in Sri Lanka. Upon arrival, our guided city tour gets started with the vivid Cultural Dance (Kandyan) Dance. After the show, walk for only 5 minutes to the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic - Sri Lanka's most sacred Buddhist shrine, where the evening Puja Ritual held in the temple will offer you a chance to discover the special atmosphere and ultimate spiritual importance of this famous temple.

Day 3: Kandy City Highlights
In the morning, pay a refreshing visit to Royal Botanical Garden of Peradeniya which boasts 300+ different varieties of orchids, spices, medicinal plants and palm trees. In the afternoon, you could either enjoy the facilities at your hotel or explore the city with your chauffeur, like walking around Kandy Lake in city centre or do some shopping in the downtown markets.

Day 4: Kandy - Nuwara Eliya
After breakfast, set off for Nuwara Eliya by train (subjected to availability), which will be a picturesque 4-hour journey packed with beautiful mountains, waterfalls and tea plantations. Upon your arrival at Nanu Oya Railway Station, your chauffeur guide will pick you up and escort you to your Nuwara Eliya hotel, rest of the day is at your leisure.

Day 5: Nuwara Eliya Discovery
Wake up in the early morning and head to Horton Plains National Park, where you'll take a 4-hour easy trek. En route, you'll see diverse flora & fauna, meet sambar deers and waterfalls, and enjoy the stunning view over World's End. In the afternoon, pay a visit to a tea plantation and a tea factory, where the world's best Ceylon Tea is produced. After learning about the process of manufacturing tea, get hands-on experience of tea picking, and don't forget to sip a cup of pure Ceylon tea in the factory.

Day 6: Nuwara Eliya - Yala
Check out after breakfast and head to Tissamaharama (approx. 3 hours by road). En route, enjoy the beautiful scenery of Ella. Upon arrival at Yala, check in to the hotel and have a rest before your afternoon jeep safari at Yala National Park, which is home to a diverse range of wildlife including elephants, leopards, wild buffalos, sambar deers, musk deers, black bears, macaques, jackals and a numerous variety of birds. The park is renowned as the best park around the world to observe and shoot pictures of leopards.
Note: Yala National Park would be keeping closed during month September. If so, we'll use alternatives (E.g. Bundala National Park)

Day 7: Yala Explorer
This morning, we'll take a second jeep safari in Yala National Park. The afternoon is left for relaxation. If possible, don't forget to taste the sea food at one of the local restaurants here, which is quite popular among locals and travelers.

Day 8: Yala - Mirissa
After breakfast, check out and head to Mirissa (approx. 3 hrs by road). Located on the Southern tip of Sri Lanka, Mirissa is the very place to sit back and spoil yourself in some of the best beaches and most stunning sunrise & sunset in the island.

Day 9: Whales Watching at Mirissa
Take a morning boat (starts at 6:30 am) into the ocean to watch whales.

Day 10: Mirissa - Galle - Bentota
After breakfast, set off for Galle Dutch Fort (approx. 1 hour by private A/C vehicle). En route, you might see the iconic stilt fishermen at the beach. Upon arrival at Galle, a colonial port fortified by Portuguese first then Dutch, spend your time at the Galle Dutch Fort, which is regarded as one of the best-preserved fortresses in Sri Lanka.
Next, drive to Bentota (approx. 1.5 hours) for your beach holiday in Sri Lanka. Located in the mesmerizing southwest of Sri Lanka, and its coastal belt is a spectacular part of Sri Lankan countryside with a green setting and tall coconut trees in the background.

Day 11: Free Day in Bentota
When you google and see the pictures of Bentota, you will understand why it is a must-visit. The blissful beach, pristine and golden, is a real place to relax in and feel comfortable from the vast ocean of the Indian Ocean when you watch the vitality hidden in it closely. You can do nothing but just lie on a beach chair.

Day 12: Bentota, Free Day
Enjoy another leisure time in Bentota. You may want to experience various water sports, enjoy the facilities at your hotel or Spa center in Bentota.

Day 13: Bentota - Colombo, Departure
After a leisurely morning, you will head to Colombo City (approx. 1.5 hours by road), the capital of Sri Lanka, and then take a guided city tour to explore Colombo's colonial legacies including the Independence Square, Gangarama Temple of Colombo, the mile-long promenade of Galle Face Green and Colombo's National Museum, etc. Your driver will stop for you to take pictures when passing by the former British Administrative Center etc.
In the evening, you will be escorted to CMB airport (1 hour's drive from Colombo city) for your home-bound flight.
