About This Trip
On this 8-day vacation, you may play golf while learning about Sri Lankan culture, wildlife, and tea plantations. Land in Colombo, take a tour of the city's top attractions and play a round of golf at Royal Golf Club, the oldest golf club in Sri Lanka. It was founded in 1880. Then transfer to Pinnawala to see lovely elephants before reaching the sacred city of Kandy to visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic and also the Victoria Golf Club. Travel to Nuwara Eliya by picturesque train through tea fields and mountains. Your tour will end with some leisure time in the seaside town of Negombo.

Day 1: International Arrival, Colombo
Upon your arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport, you will be welcomed by your chauffeur-guide and transferred to your hotel. Relax at the hotel to recover from the jet lag, or head to some of Colombo's curious sites, such as Independence Square, Gangarama Temple of Colombo, Galle Face Green Urban Park, Colombo's National Museum and the former British Administrative Center, etc.

Day 2: Colombo, Golf Round-01
After breakfast, you will play 18 hole Golf-Round-01 at Royal Golf Club, which was a sanctuary situated in the heart of the city, founded over 130 years ago and being the second oldest Royal Golf Club outside the United Kingdom. There is an extensive array of historic golf memorabilia is found available on display in the club house.

Day 3: Colombo - Pinnawala - Kandy (By car, approx. 3.5 hrs)
Drive to Pinnawela in the morning. You will visit the Elephant Orphanage where you can get up-close and personal with a pachyderm during their morning feeding and river bathing. After lunch, head to Kandy, a city known as the center of Buddhism. After arriving in Kandy, appreciate a vivid and traditional cultural dance (Kandyan Dance) before walking to the nearby Sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic - Sri Lanka's most sacred Buddhist shrine. Here will show you how special and spiritually important the temple means to Sri Lanka.

Day 4: Kandy, Golf Round-02
After breakfast, play 18 hole Golf-Round-01 at Victoria Golf Club. The 18 whole Donald Steel designed Par 73 golf course is a treat for the experienced or novice golfer. The course is set on a peninsula overlooking the Victoria Dam. Designed and maintained to USGA specification the golf course is a must play for any golf lover.

Day 5: Kandy - Nuwara Eliya (By train, approx. 3.5 hrs)
After breakfast, set off a picturesque journey for Nuwara Eliya by the Expo Express Train (subjected to availability). Upon arrive at Nanuoya Railway Station, escorted to a tea plantation and a tea factory (if time permits), where the world's best Ceylon Tea is produced. After learning about the process of manufacturing tea, get hands-on experience of tea picking, and don't forget to sip a cup of pure Ceylon tea in the factory. Later, transfer to hotel and check-in, and rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 6: Nuwara Eliya, Golf Round-03
Breakfast at the hotel and play 18 hole Golf-Round-03 at Nuwara Eliya Golf Club. This magnificent course was built by a Scottish soldier of the Golan Highlanders for the British serviceman and officials stationed here in 1889. It remains a well-kept and challenging golf course set in stunning surroundings.

Day 7: Nuwara Eliya - Negombo (By car, approx. 5.5 hrs)
Today, a scenic drive brings you to Negombo. One of the leading sights here is the 'Catamaran' fishing fleet coming home, as well as age old techniques of the long net and lagoon fishing. Later, stroll around Roman Catholic areas of Negombo.
