Flights to Sri Lanka from India to Increase
For travelers to Sri Lanka, it's more convenient than ever before as Sri Lankan Airlines, the National Airline of Sri Lanka, is planning to increase its weekly flights from India& from 48 to 60 till the year-end and to 70 by 2015, by adding new destinations.
Located close to the southern tip of India, Sri Lanka is an increasingly popular tourist destination with pristine beaches, fascinating history, and spectacular wildlife. India is the major gateway to Sri Lanka. Currently, Sri Lankan Airlines flies 4 times a day from Chennai, the fourth largest city in India, to Colombo and once a day from Madurai, Tiruchirappalli, Kochi, Delhi and Mumbai. It also operates flights to Bodh Gaya and Varanasi.
