Where to Stay in Agra: from Standard to Deluxe Properties

Home to the world-famous Taj Mahal, Agra is a top destination for anyone who travels to India. Unfortunately, the city's hotel scene is not as inspiring as the city itself. So it's certainly necessary to do some research before you book. Here are some of the best hotels in Agra recommended for different budgets.

If you're visiting Agra on a budget and can't afford to stay in one of the most opulent hotels in Agra, you can still have a memorable stay at an affordable hotel in Agra - the Retreat. It is located just a 5-minute drive from the Taj Mahal. The rooms are large and clean with basic amenities. The complimentary buffet breakfast is good enough. And there is a restaurant and a lovely outside swimming pool that's rare among 3-star hotels in Agra.

Note: All room rates given in this article are based on low season prices and do not include tax and service. In India, room rates can go up considerably in the high season (winter).
