- Day 1
Upon arrival at India Gandhi International Airport, you are greeted by a private representative and escorted to the hotel. After a brief introduction of your India tour, you will check in to have some free time on your own to adjust to the new time zone.
- Day 2
After breakfast, your private guide will join you for a Delhi highlights tour to passing by those city landmarks of India Gate, President's House, Parliament House & Government Secretariat Buildings. Continue to visit to the Humayun’s tomb, which tells story of a great era. Later take a visit the 800-year-old Qutub Minar, known as India’s largest Minaret. And finish the day with an insight into the divine Laxmi Narayan Temple and Lotus Temple.
- Day 3
Take flight to holy city of Varanasi in the morning, where the Ganges River is the hub of life. Leisure in the afternoon to indulge into the life and bustle around the river is something you can miss, or dip into the river to soak up the inner calm of River Ganges.
In the evening, witness the spiritual Evening Ganga Aarti, in which priests perform rituals to honor the holy river and Gods. It’s a spectacular experience of a life time.
- Day 4
Get up early to catch the amazing spectacle of sunrise on Ganges River and stroll along those narrow lanes of Bengali Tola area to blend with the local people. Later, enjoy an ultimate Indian Yoga Class. In the afternoon, visit Sarnath (The Deer Park) where the Buddha preached his first sermon, before going to Sanarth Museum (closed on Friday) for Buddhist art and culture.
- Day 5
This morning is free at leisure before you heading to the airport for your flight to Delhi. Upon arrival, be greeted and transferred to Agra directly. The rest of the day is yours to relax or explore the city in your way.
- Day 6
Taj Mahal is one does not need words. Just indulge yourself in the beauty and romantic history of Taj Mahal in the early morning to avoid the crowds and heat in daytime. Continue to discover the palatial Royal Pavilions at the red sandstone Agra Fort for a glimpse of the royal Mughal lifestyle. After sightseeing, you will be welcomed by a local family and enjoy an authentic Indian lunch with your host. Try Masala Chai (Indian Spice Milk Tea) and you will fall in love with it immediately. It’s a real insight into life of India.

- Day 7
Drive east to Jaipur this morning. Roam around the former royal city of Fatehpur Sikri (about 1.5 hrs drive) en-route. Proceed to Jaipur (about 3.5 hours drive) to check in and overnight.
- Day 8
After breakfast, explore the hillside Amber Fort, a magnificent example of Royal Rajathan. And immerse into the glorious past of India at the Sheesh Mahal (Palace of Mirrors). Stop at façade of the pink Hawa Mahal (Palace of the Winds) for picture opportunity. Continue to the City Palace Museum and Jantar Mantar - the unbelievable timeless timepieces that still in service today.
After apply the Mehandi (Henna Painting) on your hands and learn how to dress an Indian Saree of different color and materials. It’s great for those looking for an authentic experience.
- Day 9
Drive to the desert oasis of Pushkar this morning (about 3 hours drive), a town that clings to the side of the divine Pushkar Lake. You will walk around the lake to experience the peaceful and quiet, where pilgrims and sadhus come to pay their respect. Continue to visit the Brahma Temple, the only temple in the world for Hindus to worship the Lord Brahma.
- Day 10
After breakfast, drive to Jodhpur (about 4 hours drive). Upon arrival, step into the well maintained Meherangarh Fort, a massive complex standing at the hillside overlooking the old city of Jodhpur and the imposing Jaswant Thada, where the true Rajput culture and style settles the history.

- Day 11
Today a jeep safari will take you to the rural Bishnoi Village, a nice break from the forts and temples. And then follow the winding narrow alleys at Clock Tower to explore the local markets which is full of textiles, silver and handicrafts.
- Day 12
Ranakpur is a little village tucked away in the Aravalli hills between Udaipur and Jodhpur (about 2 hours drive). The tour today brings you to one of the biggest and most important clusters of Jain temples in India. Built in marble and supported by over 1444 exquisitely carved marble pillars with no two of which are alike. Head to Udaipur (about 4 hours drive) after the tour.
- Day 13
This morning, you first wander through the markets and bazaars to visit the Jagdish Temple and admire the royal heritage City Palace. After, take a serene boat ride on Lake Pichola (1 hour), before heading for the Garden of the Maids of Honour and Folk Art Museum. You will finish your day by an unforgettable sunset visit to the Sajjan Garh Palace (Monsoon Palace).
- Day 14
Enjoy a free morning before heading to the airport for the flight to Delhi or Mumbai to connect your onward flight.

I was travelling with another female and we were both nervous about what we were undertaking so it was reassuring knowing that we were being met and escorted when we arrived. The drivers and guides were fabulous – they were knowledgeable, friendly, enthusiastic, always very protective and caring of us and our needs and very easy to get along with. Our main driver was Vajinder and we very quickly developed a good friendship with him, he was always happy and obliging with our requests and he was always fun to be around.
Our trip with My Odyssey Tours was honestly completely faultless. We were amazed at how professional and well run the entire operation is. Monica maintained contact with us throughout the trip to ensure our well-being which we were also very grateful for.

From the very start our experience with Odyssey tours was incredible. Our planner Queenie Yang was amazing and helped us create a custom tour that included everything we wanted to do. Her expertise helped us navigate around monsoon season and her recommendations were spot on. Queenie was so responsive and even when we got to India she continued to check in to make sure everything was going as planned.
Our time in India was one of our best travel experiences we've ever had. Our driver Rajesh was outstanding. He constantly gave us advice on where to eat and what to do as well as entertaining us with facts and stories about India as we drove city to city - he was such a wealth of knowledge and was so nice that we felt at the end of ten days we had made a new friend. Extra props to him as we did not get food sick and we truly believe it was his advice that prevented that.
The local guides that Odyssey arranges at each location were also a highlight. Every guide was local to where we were and you could tell their passion for their city was only matched by their knowledge of it. We thoroughly enjoyed our one on one time with each guide so we could ask any questions we had. From history to day to day life, our guides we happy to answer our questions and always engaged in our conversations.
Every hotel we stayed at was over and above what we expected and the quality of programing throughout our entire tour was exceptional.
We cannot recommend Odyssey tours India enough. They even thought to send flowers and a cake when they heard that it was our honeymoon vacation. We will 100% book with them again and recommend our family and friends to do so as well.

The only things we would change is the hotel in Jaipur (Leisure Inn Grand Chanakya)... nothing wrong with the hotel itself but a lot of the staff could not speak English and when we asked questions we felt we were being a nuisance to them because they seemed so uncomfortable talking to us. If I could make a suggestion, perhaps 'The Fern' in Jaipur would be a better option. We liked 'The Fern' in Agra the most in India out of all the hotels we stayed in and saw on their leaflet that they have another hotel in Jaipur and wished we could have stayed there also if we knew how good 'The Fern' would be, their staff and facilities.
Also the Visa on arrival situation for Nepal was annoying as there is a sign above the counter saying they accept card payments but when we got to the counter they said they only accept cash and accept USD or GBP only and would not accept Nepali currency. The only ATM machine available accepted mastercard only which we did not have. Luckily we were able to change the Nepali currency back to GBP and had exactly £40 to pay the Visa fees or else I'm not sure whether we would have been able to be granted access into the country. Please Queenie if you could advise future customers about this so they have enough cash in hand to pay the visa fee and have less hassle then that would be helpful.
But overall there was absolutely nothing wrong with the trip itself. We enjoyed the tour, were well looked after and would recommend My Odyssey Tours to future customers! 5/5 stars for their service and I would not hesitate to book another holiday with them again!
