Itinerary

• Day 1: Arrival, Lovely Kochi

  Welcome to Kerala! On arrival at Kochi Airport, you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel where our representative will help you check-in and brief you about the following tours. Have some free time on your own to recover from your journey.

• Day 2: Find Kochi

  After breakfast, start exploring the Fort Kochi. Follow the footprints left centuries ago by Dutch, Portuguese, British, Arab and Chinese and soak up the cultural atmosphere as you stroll along the quaint narrow lanes of Fort Kochi to visit the Dutch Palace (closed on Fridays and national holidays), St Francis Church and India's oldest Jewish Synagogue in Jew Town (closed on Fridays, Saturdays, and Jewish holidays). Later, head to the harbor where local fishermen use the old Chinese fishing nets introduced centuries ago.

• Day 3: Turn to Munnar

  Breakfast and then head to Munnar, a beautiful hill station situated 1,600 meters above sea level. Upon arrival, you'll be transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure. You can stroll around and enjoy the peace and freshness of mountain air along with its breathtaking beauty.

• Day 4: Captivating Munnar

  After breakfast, start your exploration of Munnar, the idyllic tourist destination in Kerala. Explore the sprawling tea plantations, pristine valleys and mountains, exotic species of flora and fauna in its wild sanctuaries and forests and enjoy the aroma of spice-scented cool air.

• Day 5: Highlights of Periyar

  After breakfast, drive to Periyar Tiger Reserve, India's earliest sanctuary and one of the best places to see Asian Elephant. After checking in to your hotel, stroll through one of the spice plantations this area famous for; learn about many different uses of spices, both in medicine and food.

  Take a late afternoon cruise on the picturesque Periyar Lake at the heart of the Periyar Tiger Reserve, as the coolness comes in the evening many types of wildlife drink at the water edge. This night you can choose to take an optional martial art performance, the ancient Kalaripayattu that is said to be 3,000 years old.

• Day 6: Heavenly Escape on Backwater, Alleppey

  Be prepared for Alleppey. On arrival, embark on your houseboat and start an enchanting cruise along the reputed backwater of Kerala; just lie back and relax while you navigate slowly through the tranquil waterways. It is a wonderful opportunity to discover Kerala's rural lifestyle. You'll see that Kerala is known for its cashew nuts, coir trade, rice, pepper crops and coconuts. If you like, have a refreshing bath in the backwaters on the tranquil Vembanad Lake. Your chef on the houseboat will prepare delicious Kerala specialties on board.

• Day 7: Kovalam Beach Holiday

  After breakfast on the houseboat, disembark at Alleppey and say goodbye to backwater then head to Kovalam, a world-renowned beach with three adjacent crescent beaches. On arrival, check in to the hotel. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy as you choose. You will have a wealth of leisure options on the beach, including sunbathing, swimming, herbal body toning massages, special cultural programs and catamaran cruising.
