Tour route: India : Delhi - Jaipur - Agra - Varanasi
Upon arrival at India Gandhi International Airport, you are greeted by a private representative and escorted to the hotel. After a brief introduction of your India tour, you will check in to have some free time on your own to adjust to the new time zone.
In the morning, your guide will take you out on a magical half-day old Delhi tour. This extraordinary visit in the lanes of Old Delhi including rickshaw rides through the heritage & Bazaar, off the beaten path back-street walk and some street food adventures. Come across the local Indian people and ends with a fantastic home cooked Indian meal in haveli.
Afterward, you will tour the highlights of New Delhi, includes driving pass the India Gate, President's House, Parliament House & Government Secretariat Buildings. Continue to visit to the Humayun’s tomb, which tells story of a great era. Later take a visit the 800-year-old Qutub Minar, known as India’s largest Minaret. Admire the father of India at the Raj Ghat.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch
After breakfast, head to Jaipur by private A/C car (about 5 hours drive), stopover for coffee break or photo opportunities are at your request any time en-route. On arrival check in at hotel, afternoon is yours to explore is lovely city.
After breakfast, explore the hillside Amber Fort, a magnificent example of Royal Rajathan. And immerse into the glorious past of India at the Sheesh Mahal (Palace of Mirrors). Stop at façade of the pink Hawa Mahal (Palace of the Winds) for picture opportunity. Continue to the City Palace Museum and Jantar Mantar - the unbelievable timeless timepieces that still in service today.
After apply the Mehandi (Henna Painting) on your hands and learn how to dress an Indian Saree with different color and materials. It’s great for those looking for an authentic experience.
Drive east to Agra this morning. Roam around the former royal city of Fatehpur Sikri (about 1.5 hrs drive) en-route. And proceed to Agra (about 3.5 hours drive) to check in and overnight.
Taj Mahal is one does not need words. Just indulge yourself in the beauty and romantic history of Taj Mahal in the early morning to avoid the crowds and heat in daytime. Continue to discover the palatial Royal Pavilions at the red sandstone Agra Fort for a glimpse of the royal Mughal lifestyle. Drive back to Delhi this afternoon (about 4 hours drive). On arrival check in at your Delhi hotel, have a rest.
Take flight to holy city of Varanasi in the morning, where the Ganges River is the hub of life. Leisure in the afternoon to indulge into the life and bustle around the river is something you can miss, or dip into the river to soak up the inner calm of River Ganges. In the evening, witness the spiritual Evening Ganga Aarti, in which priests perform rituals to honor the holy river and Gods. It’s a spectacular experience of a life time.
Get up early to catch the amazing spectacle of sunrise on Ganges River and stroll along those narrow lanes of Bengali Tola area to blend with the local people. continue to have a brief city tour to Banaras Hindu University, Golden Temple and Bharat Mata Temple which is dedicated to Mother India. In the afternoon, visit Sarnath (The Deer Park) where the Buddha preached his first sermon.
Enjoy a free morning before heading to the airport for the flight to Delhi. The afternoon is at leisure and you may take advantage of this time for last minute gift shopping before our representative escorts you to the International airport for your onward flight.

Normally you'll stay at formal and large hotels conveniently located with shopping, dining and entertainment facilities nearby. Usually good 4-star hotels are adopted or boutique hotels at request. Hotels best available will be arranged if no qualified choice, e.g. in remote area.

Usually properties are conveniently located with shopping, dining and entertainment facilities nearby and offer a better service and hotel facility than that in hotels of Comfortable Tour Class. Usually 4-4.5 star hotels or boutique hotels are adopted.

Deluxe hotels with high-end service and an extensive range of facilities for an excellent accommodation experience. Multiple restaurants on site with extensive menus for choice, room service available 24/7, fitness center and concierge service round out the experience. Usually 5 star hotels are adopted.

The most luxury hotels are used and only available in some particular cities. These properties have top-notch service and unique location, such as a lake or a historic site, and usually incorporate some of the country’s most exquisite architecture traditions. Usually top 5 star or the best available hotels are adopted.
4-Day Mumbai City Break Extension

Day 1: Arrival, Mumbai at Leisure
Welcome to Mumbai! Upon arrival, you will be met by our representative and transferred to hotel for check-in, relax on the rest of the day.
Day 2: Mumbai Sightseeing
Today you start from an early morning visit to the Kamla Nehru Park and the Hanging Gardens situated on Malabar Hill, and a stroll on Marine Drive and the Chowpatty Beach. Later visit the Prince of Wales Museum, Mani Bhawan, and the Dhobi Ghat, a well-known open air laundromat in Mumbai. Continue to visit the Mumbai’s most recognized monument, Gateway of India, explore the Crawford Market where you can get spices, pets, exotic animals, fruits, vegetables, and admire the historic and beautiful Flora Fountain. Rest of the day at leisure.
Day 3: Mumbai Sightseeing
After breakfast, head for the world-famous 1200 years old Elephanta Caves across the Bombay Harbor, where you will see the famous sculpture signifying the trinity of the Creator - the Preserver & the Destroyer. The rest of the day is your free time.
Day 4: Departure Flight
After breakfast, you will have some free time and in time transfer to Mumbai airport for onward flight.

Normally, India Odyssey Tours put breakfast in your itinerary except for in Bhutan (all meals included). Lunch won’t be included for the sake of tour convenience, while dinner is also excluded as some travelers might want a little culinary adventure themselves. But surely your tour guide/driver is always glad to offer their advice.
It is normally served at the hotel where you stay. Depending on the hotel, the breakfast would be in western style, local style, or a combination.
Usually lunch won’t be included considering the fact that sometimes travelers may want to stay somewhere longer/shorter or need other minor changes during daily sightseeing, and it’s better to decide the lunch site then rather than pre-arranging it. For sure our tour guides/drivers will be happy to advice good places to you, and we strongly suggest qualified local restaurant or hotels around the scenic spots for the sake of your health.
Dinners will not be included in your meal plan unless you have that requirement. Enjoying the local food could be one of your best experiences in the incredible India & South Asia. This is why we offer you this flexibility of food choice, and you can always get advice from your tour guides/drivers.
