Welcome to India! Upon arrival at Indira Gandhi International Airport, you are greeted by our representative. Transferred to hotel where our representative helps you check in and brief you about the following tours. Have some free time on your own to adjust to the new time zone.
After breakfast, your tour guide will pick you up in hotel lobby then head to Old Delhi for the magnificent Jama Masjid, India’s largest mosque; then a unique glance at local life by an exploration to the bustling local bazaar of Chandni Chowk on rickshaw.
Pass by Red Fort on your way to New Delhi for the tallest stone tower in India, the 800-year-old Qutub Minar that is surrounded by ancient Hindu and Muslim complex. Continue to Raj Ghat - the cremation sites of Mahatma Gandhi. Drive along the city landmark of India Gate, President's House, Parliament House & Government Secretariat Buildings.
Finish today with an insight into the local religion at a colorful Hindu temple - Laxmi Narayan Temple.
Tips: Female tourists are asked to wear robes before entering Jama Masjid. If you don’t have one, rent from the temple, which costs 50 rupees.
After breakfast, head for Agra by private A/C car. Stopover for coffee break or photo opportunities is at your request any time en-route. Upon your arrival, check in your hotel. The afternoon is free at leisure. You can relax in the hotel, or explore the nearby area.
You will visit the Taj Mahal (closed on Friday) in the early morning, which frees you from the crowds and heat in daytime. This white-marble world wonder was built by a great emperor in memory of his beloved. Later continue to visit the palatial Royal Pavilions at the red sandstone Agra Fort for a glimpse of the royal Mughal lifestyle. The rest of the day is at leisure, vehicle with driver is at your disposal.
Tips: Strict security check is needed before entering Taj Mahal. Foods, plastic bags, chargers,etc are all prohibited things. We suggest you catch the sunrise view in the early morning for the weather is relatively cool and avoid the peak time.
Breakfast then head east to Jaipur. En route stop to explore the former royal city of Fatehpur Sikri (about 1.5 hrs), one of the finest examples of Mughal architectural splendor at its height, built by Emperor Akbar in 1569 and abandoned after 15 years due to scarcity of water. When you arrive Jaipur, check in you hotel and the rest of the day is at leisure. Vehicle with driver is at your disposal.
Drive back to the ‘pink city’ of Jaipur and then visit the famous Hawa Mahal (Palace of the Winds). There your tour guide will show you the best angle for a perfect picture. Continue to the City Palace Museum for its superb collection of Rajasthani costumes and armoury; do check the local time yourself at Jantar Mantar - the largest stone observatory in world that still in service today. Later drive through the pink rose residential and business areas before going back to the hotel.Overnight: Jaipur
This morning, you will go to Udaipur after breakfast, by private A/C car. En route you can stop any time to take photos or have a coffee break. Hotel check-in upon your arrival and the rest of the day is yours to relax.

This morning, you will wander through the markets and bazaars to visit the Jagdish Temple and then continue to explore the romantic city from City Palace, which is regarded as the largest of its type in Rajasthan. Later take a relaxing boat ride on Lake Pichola (on shared motor boat, about 1 hour), before heading for the Garden of the Maids of Honour and Folk Art Museum. After that, you will enjoy an unforgettable sunset by visiting the Sajjan Garh Palace (Monsoon Palace).
Your tour ends today. Have some free time to explore the city or visit a local market for shopping, before being escorted to the airport for the flight to Delhi for your onward flight back home.

Hotel Arrangement for Comfortable Tour Class
Normally you'll stay at formal and large hotels conveniently located with shopping, dining and entertainment facilities nearby. Quality service, fully furnished rooms, restaurants, room service, fitness center and swimming pool (in some cases there is no pool) all together offer an above-average accommodation experience.
Usually good 4-star hotels are adopted or boutique hotels at request. Hotels best available will be arranged if no qualified choice, e.g. in remote area.
Hotel Arrangement for Superior Tour Class
Usually properties are conveniently located with shopping, dining and entertainment facilities nearby and offer a better service and hotel facility than that in hotels of Comfortable Tour Class. Usually 4-4.5 star hotels or boutique hotels are adopted.
Hotel Arrangement for First Tour Class
Deluxe hotels with high-end service and an extensive range of facilities for an excellent accommodation experience. Multiple restaurants on site with extensive menus for choice, room service available 24/7, fitness center and concierge service round out the experience. Usually 5 star hotels are adopted.
Hotel Arrangement for Deluxe Tour Class
The most luxury hotels are used and only available in some particular cities. These properties have top-notch service and unique location, such as a lake or a historic site, and usually incorporate some of the country’s most exquisite architecture traditions. Usually top 5 star or the best available hotels are adopted.

This extension starts from Cochin, where are well connected to most of the major cities in India and have connected flights to many foreign cities. Get ready and immerse yourself in India's southern backwaters on this four-day extension to Kerala.
Day 1: Delhi - Cochin (by flight, approx. 3-4hrs), Cochin at Leisure
Stay one more night in Delhi yesterday. This morning, you’ll be escorted to the airport to board the flight to Cochin. Upon arrival, transfer to hotel in Cochin, rest of the day at leisure.
Day 2: Cochin Sightseeing
After breakfast you start your exploration of Fort Cochin. Follow the footprint left centuries ago by Dutch, Portuguese, British, Arab and Chinese and soak up the cultural atmosphere as you stroll along the quaint narrow lanes of Fort Cochin to visit the Dutch Palace, St Francis Church and India’s oldest Jewish Synagogue in Jew Town. Later head to the harbor where local fishermen use the old Chinese fishing nets introduced and erected centuries ago.
Evening you can choose to enjoy Kerala’s signature Performance of Kathakali, a classical form of dance, drama and music that is more than 400 years old.
Day 3: Cochin - Alleppey (by Car, approx. 1hr, 56kms)
After a leisurely breakfast head to Alleppey and embark your houseboat and start an enchanting cruise along the reputed backwater of Kerala; discover the true Kerala’s lifestyle while the houseboat glides slowly through the tranquil waterway. If you like, have a refreshing bath in the backwaters on the tranquil Vemband Lake. Your chef in houseboat will prepare you delicious Kerala specialties on board.

Day 4: Cochin, Departure
After breakfast, disembark the boat, you’ll be escorted to Cochin airport for your onward flight to Mumbai or Delhi.

Normally, India Odyssey Tours put breakfast in your itinerary except for in Bhutan (all meals included). Lunch won’t be included for the sake of tour convenience, while dinner is also excluded as some travelers might want a little culinary adventure themselves. But surely your tour guide/driver is always glad to offer their advice.
It is normally served at the hotel where you stay. Depending on the hotel, the breakfast would be in western style, local style, or a combination.
Usually lunch won’t be included considering the fact that sometimes travelers may want to stay somewhere longer/shorter or need other minor changes during daily sightseeing, and it’s better to decide the lunch site then rather than pre-arranging it. For sure our tour guides/drivers will be happy to advice good places to you, and we strongly suggest qualified local restaurant or hotels around the scenic spots for the sake of your health.
Dinners will not be included in your meal plan unless you have that requirement. Enjoying the local food could be one of your best experiences in the incredible India & South Asia. This is why we offer you this flexibility of food choice, and you can always get advice from your tour guides/drivers.
