About This Trip
This 4-day excursion will take you to see the most famous sites in Thimphu and Paro. Visit the Thimphu Dzong and the Paro Dzong to learn about the culture and history of Bhutan, take in the local way of life by touring a farmhouse, personalize postage stamps with your own photos at the Bhutan Post Office, and hike to the Taktsang, a revered Vajrayana Himalayan Buddhist site also known as the Tiger's Nest Monastery. Despite being brief, this 4-day trip will undoubtedly provide you an unforgettable experience!

Day 1: Arrival, Paro - Thimphu (By Car, Approx. 1.5 Hrs)
Welcome to Bhutan! On arrival, be met and transferred to the capital, Thimphu. En route pass by Tamchog Lhakhang iron bridge. After checking in to your hotel, head for the National Memorial Chorten which was built in honor of the third king and now a popular spot to circumambulate and pray. Proceed to the gigantic Buddha Dordenma Statue and Takin Sanctuary, then meet the nuns at Zilukha Nunnery, before visiting Thimphu Dzong (Trashichho Dzong), the largest religious building in Thimphu as well as the seat of the central government.
Note: Driving time in the program is approximate, subject to the traffic, weather and road conditions.

Day 2: Thimphu Valley Sightseeing and Drive to Paro
After breakfast, visit the Folk Heritage Museum (an old farmhouse showing the rural life of the Bhutanese) and the National Painting School, to see how the amazing traditional sculptures and paintings are made. Later, head to Bhutan Post Office Headquarters where you can make stamps with your own photos (USD 4 for 12 stamps, at your expense). After lunch, drive back to Paro and then visit a farmhouse to get a touch of the life of local people.
Tips: It is highly suggested to store some photos beforehand on an SD card or USB device for stamps printing, or else you may need to line up to take photos.- B L D

Day 3: Paro Sightseeing and Hiking to Taktsang
This morning, take a scenic hike to Taktsang (Tiger's Nest) - the most sacred monastery in Bhutan, built on the steep cliff, offering you enchanting views of the Paro valley. Later, get a glimpse of Bhutan's history at the cylindrical Ta Dzong National Museum and visit Paro Dzong, maybe the finest example of Bhutanese architecture you'll see, which is now used as an administrative centre and school for monks.

Day 4: Departure Flight
Say goodbye to Bhutan. After breakfast, you will be escorted to the airport for your onward flight.
