Itinerary

• Day 1: Thimphu Sightseeing

  Welcome to Bhutan! On arrival, you'll be met by your local guide and transferred to the capital Thimphu, passing by Tamchog Lhakhang iron bridge en route. 

  After checking into your hotel, head for the gorgeous National Memorial Chorten built in honor of Bhutan’s third king, followed by the gigantic Buddha Dordenma Statue. Then visit Takin Sanctuary to see Bhutan’s national animal, the Takin that you won’t find in other countries. Then meet the nuns at the serene Zilukha Nunnery. Last, admire Thimphu Dzong (Trashichho Dzong),  the largest religious building in Thimphu as well as the central administrative center (open after 5 pm, Monday to Friday).
  
  After that, you will be escorted back to your hotel.
